Our Annual All-School Charity Event is starting soon and your help and support is needed more than ever this holiday season.
The entire Mount Douglas School Community is gathering together to support our local community families in need as well as some of our own MD families by creating food hampers and collecting new Toys/Gifts and money donations.
Every Block C Morning class is supporting a family with toys, coins and food. The students know the list of desired donation items and they are signing up for what they want to bring in.
Please help by sending your donations to the school with your child. They will bring the donations to their block C morning class everyday until Friday, Dec 11th.
- Examples of food items: Pancake flour, Maple Syrup, canned goods of all kinds, boxes of chocolates, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, granola bars, condiments, pasta, crackers, personal hygiene items, etc.
- Money donations are also being collected in order to purchase gift cards for grocery stores, gas, shopping, etc to add to the family baskets.
- New toy donations for Kindergarten to Grade 5 will add a SMILE to a child this holiday season.
- Our MD students help others in need and develop a sense of social awareness and good-will towards others. “A feel good feeling for all”
On Friday, Dec 11th, all of the class donations will be brought down to our foyer and we FILL-THE-FOYER for our families in need.
This is our biggest Good-Will Charity Event we have at Mount Douglas so please help our mascot RAMBO…….. FILL-THE-FOYER!
