Alec Krawciw finished in third place at the Vancouver Island Science Fair. This qualified him for the Canada-Wide Science Fair in Montreal, where he won the Bronze medal.
Additionally, at the Vancouver Island Science Fair, he received the following awards:
- APEG Engineering Award for the senior division
- The BC Innovation Council Young Innovator Scholarship
- The Science Fair Alumni Award
- The UVic Dean of Science Scholarship
- The UVic President’s Scholarship
