We are off to a busy and successful start to second semester. It is time to start thinking about
course selection and planning for the 2012/2013 school year. During the month of February,
administrators and counsellors will be working with students in classrooms and with individual
appointments to complete course planning. Course handbooks are available in both the main
office and counseling office, but we encourage you to visit the school’s website
http://mountdouglas.ca/index.php for a paperless version.
There are many events and activities to look forward to in the coming weeks including ‘Meet
the Teacher’ night on February 13th from 7:00 – 8:10 p.m. Later in the month we will also be
welcoming a group of Japanese students to our school from Saku. Several music and athletic
events have been planned; our basketball teams are preparing for local playoffs and potentially,
births to provincial championships. On February 29th, Youth Combating Intolerance is hosting
our annual Pink Day to promote anti-bullying, we encourage everyone to show support and
wear pink on this day.
As always, your continued support of our staff
and students is greatly appreciated. Please do
not hesitate to call or drop by if you have any
questions or concerns.
Kind regards,
Shawn Boulding
Principal
