The competitions began in April, at the Vancouver Regional Science Fair at UVic. Mount Douglas Secondary School had three very successful participants:

“Designing a Flexible Thermoelectric Generator for Charging Portable Electronics” received ‘Best Engineering Project’ recognition in the fair winning him four trophies:
The BC Hydro ‘Be Electrically Alert’ Award
The Alexa Geminiano Award
The Association of Professional Engineers of British Columbia Award
He was also awarded an all-expenses paid week-long trip to the Canada-wide Science Fair for the fourth time in a row! This year the Canada-wide was in Fredricton, N.B. Nattan won second place for all categories in Canada at the fair. Nattan won a silver! Amazing talent!
