Last Friday night, March 4th, 3 rock bands made up primarily of Victoria high school teachers ran a dance to raise money for Syrian Refugee families coming to Victoria.   After expenses, the event made $1400 for two Syrian families.  In addition, there was a very successful canned food drive.  The headliner band is made up exclusively of Mount Doug teachers and are called Victoria’s Other Secret.  The opening acts were Weak Coverup and The Cardboard Prophets.  Everyone had a great time for an important cause.
